As the founder of “The New You Movement,” a non-profit organization, I am perplexed with the repercussions of adult trauma caused by child sexual abuse. According to statistics from D2L.org, one out of every ten children will be sexually abused before their eighteenth birthday. Child sexual abuse is probably the most prevalent health issue children face with the most serious consequences. Many never disclose or get treatment, therefore, being prone to developing physical conditions.

In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on April 4, 1967-as he spoke to a crowd gathered at Riverside Baptist Church in New York. His titled speech for that day was ”Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break The Silence.” He unapologetically and unequivocally denounced America’s involvement in Southeast Asian Conflict. He left no doubt about his position when he quoted from the organization’s statement in his opening lines: ‘ A time comes when silence is betrayal.” This Dissertation is not about Vietnam, but it does correlate to the atrocities of lives lost, devalued and forgotten, while being ravished by CSA. I am emphatic and absolute on speaking out against and seeking solutions for CSA and related trauma.
